Principal Interior Designer
Art and design have played a role in my life from a very young age. As a young girl growing up in the Midwest, I recall countless memories of walking to art class with one mission in mind: I’m going to create something beautiful today.
After completing my Art degree at the University of Toledo, where my Architecture and Art History classes developed my love of built spaces, I spent four years in advertising before realizing that passion was lacking from my corporate career. I enrolled in the UCLA Interior Design program and in 2004 began working at the nationally acclaimed firm Joe Nye Inc. It was there that I learned the fundamentals of classical design while decorating gracious traditional homes in Los Angeles, New York City, Beaver Creek, and Vail. After years of designing classical & traditional homes, I set out to take on the contemporary world while working with at Magni Design Inc. in 2007. I spent four years as a Senior Designer & Project Manager working on homes in Brentwood Park, Beverly Park, Irvine’s Shade Canyon Community, Newport Coast, and Moscow.
Chiavaro Design was formed in 2011 and is located in the historic Helms Bakery building in Culver City. Our work is a compilation of both contemporary and traditional aesthetics. We’ve worked on numerous construction and furnishing projects in Los Angeles, Pacific Palisades, San Marino, Dana Point, Paolo Alto, and Newport Coast. In 2015 we expanded our business to include Custom Cabinetry directed by, Sandro Chiavaro, who has over twenty-five years of cabinet building experience. He is a craftsman at heart having been raised and professionally trained in Switzerland. He follows in the steps of his father who spent his career rebuilding antique furniture.
In 2018 we are working on a beautifully appointed home in Newport Coast, a residential construction project near the snow capped mountains of Denver, and a vacation home remodel in Cabo San Lucas for a long standing dear client of ours.
In our free time, Sandro and I are running alongside our eight-year old daughter Eliza at the beach or exploring the city and its cultural treasures.
